If places are also available, asylum seekers with good prospects of remaining may also attend an initial orientation course, provided that participation in an integration course is not (yet) possible. Persons who fled Ukraine on or after February 24, 2022, as a result of Russia‘s military invasion, are also eligible to attend an EOK. The EOKs cover topics such as everyday life in Germany, work, shopping, health/medical care, kindergarten/school and housing at a very basic language level. A course consists of six modules of 50 teaching units each and thus comprises a total of 300 teaching units. 98
